Local History Rediscovered

After the overwhelming success of last year's event there will be another chance to 'Discover Archaeology' at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village on Sunday 23 July 2006.
The day will, once again, be hosted by The Friends of West Stow as part of National Archaeology Week (15th-23rd July 2006) and will include opportunities for all the family to have-a-go at a variety of Anglo-Saxon crafts as well as a chance to handle original objects.

Visitors of all ages will be able to try their hand at Anglo-Saxon pottery, basket weaving and wool spinning and children will even have the chance to try on Anglo-Saxon clothes! There will be a wide range of activities in the Village and in the Anglo-Saxon Centre where West Stow's extensive collection of archaeological finds is displayed.
